Welcome to my lifestyle corner! If you know me as a software developer, or if you’ve been reading my posts about nutrition, sleep optimization, fitness, and biohacking, you might think my life is entirely driven by code and data. But underneath the technical frameworks and health metrics, there is a core heartbeat that has guided me since I was young: Music.

Music isn't just a hobby for me; it’s the original code that structured my mind and taught me how to be a better human being. Today, I want to take you behind the scenes of my journey as a multi-instrumentalist producer—how I combine the piano and the guitar, and how I'm currently channeling it all into my debut synthwave metal album.

🛠️ The Foundation: How Music Built My Character

When I was young, music was the first language that truly made sense to me. Before I ever wrote a line of code or tracked a sleep cycle, I was learning how to listen.

Looking back, music was the ultimate catalyst for my personal growth. It didn't just teach me notes; it taught me invaluable life skills that overlap perfectly with my career in technology:

  • Discipline and Patience: Spending hours perfecting a single phrase or transition taught me that greatness requires consistency—a trait that serves me every day as a developer.
  • Emotional Resilience: Whenever life felt overwhelming, channeling my energy into an instrument became my therapy. It helped me process the world, keep my ego in check, and remain grounded.
  • Neuroplasticity and Focus: Long before I got into biohacking, music was my original "brain hack." It trained my mind to see complex patterns, which paved the perfect pathway into software engineering.

🎹 The Intersection of Two Worlds: Piano and Guitar

I’ve never been someone who likes to stay in one box. In my health routine, I look at the whole picture—combining fitness with nutrition and sleep biology. I approach music the exact same way. I don't just play the guitar, and I don't just play the piano; I combine them.

Why I Combine Piano and Guitar for Songwriting

  • The Piano is where I look at the big picture. It gives me a visual, linear understanding of harmony, complex chords, and structural arrangement. It’s where the emotional framework of my music often begins.
  • The Guitar is pure tactile energy. It provides the rhythmic drive, the bite, and the raw physical expression that a keyboard just can't replicate.

By bridging these two instruments, I am able to view songwriting from multiple perspectives. A melody that starts as a delicate piano ballad can transform into a heavy, driving guitar riff, completely changing the emotional weight of the piece. This cross-pollination is where my true creativity thrives.

⚡ The Next Venture: My Debut Synthwave Metal Album

Right now, I am channeling this multi-instrumental approach into a project that brings together everything I love: my upcoming debut synthwave metal album.

If you’ve never heard of synthwave metal (often called synthmetal or cyberpunk metal), imagine the driving, heavy aggression of modern metal guitars colliding with the nostalgic, neon-soaked, retro-futuristic synthesizers of the 1980s. It is a genre born at the intersection of technology and raw human energy—making it the perfect musical reflection of my life as a developer and artist.

On this album, I am pushing my boundaries to the absolute limit:

  • Using my piano background to design lush, atmospheric synth textures and intricate keyboard solos.
  • Using my guitar background to lay down heavy, rhythmic chugs and soaring melodic leads.
  • Applying the same hyper-focus and optimization mindset I use in biohacking to the mixing, arrangement, and production of the tracks.

I want to absorb as much knowledge as possible right now to elevate this record to a truly professional level, pushing the boundaries of what a solo artist can create when they mix art with technological precision.

🤝 Why the Creative Community Matters

Whether I am optimizing my sleep data, refactoring code, or dialing in a guitar tone, I’ve realized that human optimization is nothing without creative expression.

Last summer, I had the life-changing opportunity to attend the Alternative Guitar Summit Camp on a scholarship. Being surrounded by legendary faculty and a dedicated community of musicians taught me that the energy of a creative collective provides a unique spark you simply cannot replicate alone. It completely accelerated my growth and fueled the fire for the album I am building today.

Music, much like health, is a lifelong journey of learning. I am constantly seeking new knowledge, new techniques, and new perspectives to refine my craft.

Thanks for joining me on this ride. Stay tuned for album updates, sneak peeks at track demos, and more insights into how I balance the world of tech, biohacking, and heavy synths! What are your favorite ways to cross-pollinate your creative hobbies? Let me know in the comments below!
